What a Winter What a Spring
As I sit writing this in glorious sunshine it is difficult to remember just how cold it was in November and December. Our house is all back to normal and the garden is looking just great. Just as a reminder below is a picture of our road taken on the 18th December 2010. Thank goodness my supply of logs was delivered just before the snow started.

This spring has been superb although even I have reached the point where some rain would be very welcome. But we have been able to get on with the garden and now can sit on the swing bed sipping a glass of wine and enjoying the fruits of our labours, magic.
3 years ago my children gave me a nest-box that had a tv camera in it and I put it in a large leylandii hedge and had no residents. This year I removed it and fixed it on the back wall of our garage and within half an hour of me finishing it a blue tit was inspecting it. We now have a blue tit sitting on 11 eggs. Below is a clip from the web-cam taken on the 26th April. I am hopeful the eggs will hatch at the end of this week. At the moment I am unable to stream videos from the camera so occasional clips will have to do.
I think I will install a colour camera next year.
